Maintenance
In order to sustain optimal performance, your VAMP-X pump should
be inspected and cleaned as part of your system's regular
maintenance schedule. Cleaning at least once a year is
recommended.
9.1
Cleaning of Sensor
Remove the lid of the sensor reservoir. Using a flashlight or other
light source, check the optical sensor in the rear of the reservoir. If it
is dirty or there is an accumulation of, e.g. algae, then clean the
sensor gently with a damp cloth. Do not use solvents other than
water when cleaning the optical sensor.
9.2
Change of Filter
The posable hose has an integrated filter to prevent particles from
damaging or clogging your pump and hoses. If necessary, remove
the filter and clean the filter and the hose in soapy water, and then
replace the filter.
If the posable hose is damaged or too dirty to clean, it can be
replaced by removing it from the drain pan outlet and pump, and
then installing the replacement part.
9.3
Replacing the Pump
Check the pump body and electrical cables for any signs of damage.
If any damage is found, isolate the electrical supply to the indoor
unit before replacing the damaged part.
