BATTERY MAINTENANCE
ATTENTION:
•
the battery, if not in use, should be recharged every 6 months to ensure its
efficiency.
•
With normal use and proper care, the battery should last approximately 800
cycles. at an ambient temperature of 25°C. A used battery can be recognised
by an increase in charge frequency and a decrease in battery capacity.
•
Cleaning and maintenance of the battery charger must not be carried out by
children without supervision.
•
Before carrying out any work on the batteries (removal/installation,
maintenance), always disconnect the product from the power supply.
•
Working on the battery is dangerous when the power cable is connected.
Electric shocks can cause serious personal injury and property damage.
•
Battery cells contain toxic substances.
•
Batteries whose housings are damaged, from which substances are leaking
or which become too hot or emit an unusual odour must not be used or
transported.
•
Damaged or leaking batteries may only be handled with disposable rubber
gloves and protective goggles and only in well-ventilated places.
•
Dispose of rubber gloves and damaged batteries in accordance with all
applicable environmental guidelines and regulations.
