Navigating obstacles
You may encounter situations where you need to move over or down an obstacle with your rollator. This manual
explains how to do so safely.
6.2.1
Moving over an obstacle
When navigating an obstacle independently, always move forward.
Step down onto one of the steppers to lift the front wheels using the lever effect (see figures 4d and 4e).
Carefully place the front wheels of the rollator onto the obstacle, push the rollator forward, and follow it (see figures
4f and 4g). This is the correct way to move over obstacles.
Ensure there are no objects on the seat when moving over obstacles, as they may fall off (see figure 4h).
6.2.2
Moving down an obstacle
When navigating an obstacle downward, always move forward.
First, lower the front wheels onto the lower surface while gently applying the brakes.
Follow the rollator carefully as it moves down the obstacle.
Once you and the rollator are fully past the obstacle, release the brakes and continue walking.
Ensure there are no objects on the seat when moving down obstacles, as they may fall off (see figure 4i).
