The back strap

The Excel 3-Motion is equipped with a comfortable back strap (photo 15). This provides support when you sit on
your rollator. The back strap is not removable.

5.4

The brakes

The Excel rollator has two types of brakes: a parking brake and a brake for slowing down. To use the brakes, follow
these steps:
5.4.1

Slowing down

• When you wish to reduce speed while walking behind your rollator, squeeze the brake lever (photo 16). The
brake will activate immediately.
• Note: Do not push the rollator forward while squeezing the brake lever, as this can damage the wheels and
brakes. Such damage is not covered under warranty.

5.4.2

Parking brake

• To engage the parking brake, press the brake lever downwards. Once you hear a click, the brake is engaged
(photos 17 and 18).
• To release the parking brake, squeeze the brake lever or pull the lever upwards (photo 19). You will hear another
click, indicating that the parking brake has been released.
