5 Cleaning Process
Equipment cleaning is a process that a used product undergoes so that it can be safely reused. This procedure
includes cleaning and disinfection.
In addition, a test and restoration of the technical and functional safety of the product used must be carried out.
Warning
Risk of infection if the device is used again! If the device is used by several patients, infections
can be transmitted to the next patient. If the device is used again, it must be cleaned and
disinfected.
5.1 General information
Note
Wear suitable protective equipment during cleaning / disinfection.
Caution
Switch off the device and disconnect it from the power supply before starting cleaning.
Caution
The cleaning and disinfecting agent must be used in accordance with the manufacturer's
instructions, see the manufacturer's Instructions for Use.
Caution
Do not allow any liquid to enter the interior of the device.
Caution
DO NOT allow detergent to drip into the air inlet or outlet ports.
Caution
After cleaning, disinfection and a functional check, the device is suitable for reuse with further
patients.
Warning
Risk of injury due to electric shock! Penetrating liquids from cleaning agents and disinfectants
can cause a short circuit, injure the user and damage the device.
Caution
Ensure spatial separation of equipment that is still contaminated and equipment that has
already been disinfected (such as work surfaces and storage rooms, etc.).
Caution
Do not open the device! Repairs may only be carried out by qualified technicians.

Do not pour liquid over the device and components or immerse them in liquids.

Use commercially available cleaning agents to clean the outer housing, but do not use
abrasive, scratching or corrosive agents.
