Assembly instructions

3.2.1

Unpacking and assembling

Install the control panel after unpacking the unit. In order to do so, fix the back of the control
panel over the handle bar pipe, insert the two tabs on the back of the control panel into the
handle bar pipe and press them downward to their stop. Then connect the connection cables
with the control panel and screw on the cover.
Note:
Mount the control panel with the operator's side facing the front so the keys and display are
easily accessible by the person operating the machine. If the device is used as a training
ergometer, the panel can be mounted with the operator's side facing the rider.
Screw the handle bar on with a rail clip and a hex socket screw. Make sure that the slit created
by screwing the pieces together is the same width on the bottom as at the top due to the
clamping action. Then screw on the clamp and fix the handle bar in place. Adjust the clamp
lever so that it faces downward.
Pull the saddle to normal height, adjust the clamp lever downwards after fixing the saddle in
place.
With the help of the base adjustor on the rear lower side of the ergometer, adjust the device so
that there is no gap between it and the floor. The ergometer is then fully stabilised.
3.2.2

Adjusting the saddle and handle bars

The saddle can be adjusted upwards or downwards for optimal exercise position. The handle bar
can be rotated by 360 degrees. This allows the optimal adjustment for exercise for persons
ranging from 150 cm to 210 cm.
The handle bar is adjusted by means of the clamp situated directly below the handle bar. The
saddle is adjusted using a clamp protruding from the casing below the saddle rod. After
loosening the respective clamp, the handle bar can be adjusted to a suitable position and the
saddle pipe can be moved up or down to the desired height. After adjustment, tighten the
clamps again.
The saddle clamp is designed for patients weighing up to 160 kilograms. To attain optimal
clamping action, only moderate strength is needed to tighten the clamps.
It is recommended to position the clamp in clamped position with the lever positioned vertically
downward. This is achieved by pulling the clamp out of its lock-in position and then turning it
until the lever is positioned vertically downward. Secure clamping is ensured when the lever is
once again turned to this position during the next adjustment procedure.
