Visual check — Do not operate the oven if it is
damaged.
Please see
INSTALLATION
2) on
page GB-2.
Door —
Do not operate the oven
with any
object caught in the door seal between the oven
and oven door.
Turntable — For all operations, the turntable
support should be correctly inserted and the
turntable should be correctly placed upon it.
Ventilation — The vent openings of the oven
should never be blocked.
Repair —
It is dangerous for the oven to be
adjusted or repaired by anyone but an autho-
rized service technician trained by SHARP.
Empty operation — When microwaving (includ-
ing DUAL 1 and 2 mode, EASY DEFROST and
AUTO COOK), do not operate the oven with the
oven cavity empty. Operation with the oven
empty may cause damage to your oven.
Leaving foods — Do not keep food or anything
inside of the oven even while it is not used.
Rotisserie
When
the two
prongs
of the
rotisserie are placed too close together, arcing
may occur. To avoid this, place the prongs well
apart or perpendicular to each other.
After cooking
— After cooking in the CON-
VECTION,
DUAL
1 and 2, GRILL mode and
AUTO COOK mode, the fan may remain on for
a while to lower the temperature of the elec-
tronic and mechanical components.
1)
Metal — Metal utensils other than the acces-
sories provided should NOT be used for MICRO-
WAVE cooking. Metal reflects microwave ener-
gy and may cause an electrical discharge known
as arcing.
* If metal (such as alminum foil) is used for a
special purpose (refer to your cookbook for
exceptions) it must never come
in contact
with the oven walls, turntable or oven racks
during operation.
* Metal may be used for DUAL Cooking mode.
To prevent arcing, place a heat resistant in-
sulator such as a Pyrex®
pie dish, a glass piz-
za tray or a china plate between the metal
utensil and the rack or turntable. If arcing con-
tinues, discontinue the use of that utensil for
DUAL Cooking.

Containers with lids — Always remove tight
seals and lids from containers
before using
them. Tightly sealed containers can lead to a
build up of pressure which could cause explo-
sion even after the oven has stopped.
Boiling — When boiling water or liquids, use a
wide-mouthed container to allow air bubbies to
escape freely. Narrow mouthed containers can
cause large bubbles to form which can lead to
splashes and burns even
after the oven
has
stopped and it is advisable to insert a glass rod
or something similar to avoid sudden boiling
(splashing or burning may occur).
Others — For recommended utensils refer to the
introduction in the supplied cookbook.

3)
Eggs
— Do not cook eggs in their shells. Pres-
sure will build up inside of the shell and it may
explode (even after the oven has stopped). Do
not re-heat cooked eggs unless they are scram-
bled or chopped.
Puncture
egg yolks before
cooking.
Oil and fat — Do not heat oil or fat for deep
frying. The temperature can not be controlled
and overheating might occur.
Sugar
When
cooking
foods
with a high
sugar or fat content, such as Christmas pud-
ding,
mince
pies and
fruit cake
follow
the
recommended
cooking instructions carefully.
Exceeding
the recommended
cooking
times
may result in burning of the food and damage
to the oven.

Condensation
Humidity
and
moisture
in
foods will sometimes cause condensation on
the walls of the oven or inside of the door. This
is normal
with cooking.
Generally,
covered
foods will cause less condensation than unco-
vered foods. Occasionally moisture may appear
around the door seal and seal surfaces, this is
not abnormal and should not be taken as a sign
that the oven is leaking microwave energy dur-
ing cooking.
Hot_oven
During
CONVECTION,
GRILL,
DUAL, or AUTO COOK mode, the oven will be-
come hot. The use of an oven pad or mitten is
recommended. Always use the plastic portion
of the door to open and close the door as well
as using the skewer handles to remove the
skewer when using the rotisserie. Always take
care not to touch oven wall during these cook-
ing modes.
