4. Install and connect park
heating wiring harness
Only vehicles with IHKA (automatic heating and
air conditioning) from start of series up to 8/98
F 46 0009 R
In vehicles with IHKA which were constructed
before 9/98, the blower regulator must be
changed (see note on ordering requirement for
part number).
Pull out connector X671 (1) from blower regulator (2).
F 46 0010 R
Screw out Torx screws (1) from the blower
regulator (2). Remove blower regulator (2) and
replace with the new one.
F 46 0011 R
Pull out blower relay (1) from plug base X 58 and
replace it with connecting plug.
In vehicles with IHKA (automatic heating and
air conditioning) which were constructed before
9/98 the blower relay of plug base X 58 must be
replaced with a connecting plug (see note on
ordering requirement for part number).

Clip relay base X 3263 and fuse carriers A605 and
A606 behind the glove box into a free plug-in place
of the relay carrier. Insert relay (1) (violet) into relay
base X 3263. Insert blade terminal fuses (2) 1A
and (3) 1A into the fuse carriers A605 and A 606
(see in addition circuit diagram Section 15 or 16).

Remove black plastic covering (1) from
onnection X 13020. Undo hexagon nut M8 (2).
Connect branch cable C (3) to connection X 13020.

Pull out joint connector housing from the joint
connector box.
Connect branch cable G, terminal 31 (1), cable
colour brown, to joint connector X219 (2).
Insert joint connector housing in joint connector
box again.
