Do not use in explosive zones. Do not use the appliance in an explosive environment
containing substances such as flammable liquids, gases and especially spray and dust mist.
These substances can ignite due to hot surfaces on the appliance.
Pull out power plug. Pull the power plug out of the socket when not using the appliance
and before all maintenance work.
1.7.2 Specific safety notes
P Never use this appliance in the immediate vicinity of a bath, shower or swimming pool.
P Never use a program switch, time switch, dimmer or other equipment that can switch
on the appliance automatically.
P When setting up, make sure that the appliance has a safety distance of 1 m to flammable
materials
P Make sure the appliance has a secure and stable base when setting it up. Only use the
appliance in an upright position. If the appliance has tipped over, pull out the power plug,
return the appliance to an upright position and allow to cool down before putting it into
operation again.
P The appliance becomes very hot. Never touch the surface while the appliance is in
operation.
P Never cover the appliance so as to avoid overheating.
P Make sure that the appliance is never set up outdoors or in proximity to water (swim-
ming pool, pond etc.). Do not touch it if your hands are moist or wet.
P The appliance may not be set up and operated in environments in which acids, vapours,
explosive or flammable gases are present.
P Never touch the appliance while in the shower or bath.
P Never immerse the appliance in water.
P Set up the appliance so that the mains plug remains freely accessible at all times and
the appliance is not located directly below a wall socket.
P Only operate the appliance with the power cord fully rolled out. Never wind the power
cord around the appliance. Make sure that the power cord does not come into contact
with hot surfaces. Route the cable so that nobody can trip over it.
If the connecting cable of this appliance is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, the manufacturer's customer service or a similar qualified person
in order to avoid hazards.
