WArNING – risk of burns!
Hot surfaces on the plastic housing (6) during operation can cause
burns. This poses a risk of injury.
• Do not touch the outside wall of the plastic housing (6) during operation.
• Allow the appliance to cool down completely before cleaning.
• Avoid leaning over the appliance while hot steam is rising.
Electric shock hazard!
Water penetrating the housing can cause a short circuit and thus an
electric shock.
• Never submerge the electric kettle in water.
• Make sure that no water enters the housing.
NOtE: Damage to property!
Improper use of the electric kettle may cause damage.
• Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or sharp, metallic cleaning utensils such
as knives or rigid scrapers.
• Such objects can damage the surface of the electric kettle.
General cleaning
1. Disconnect the mains plug from the socket before cleaning.
2. Allow the electric kettle to cool down completely.
3. Wipe out the electric kettle with a damp cloth.
4. Carefully wipe all parts dry after cleaning them.
5. Store the electric kettle in its original packaging when not in use for longer
periods to protect it from dust.
Descaling
The water tank must be descaled at regular intervals, especially if the bottom is
visibly calcified. Regular descaling saves energy and increases the service life of
the electric kettle. Guideline: after every 15th use.
For ecological reasons, we recommend using a 3:1 solution of water and vinegar
or water and citric acid to descale the electric kettle.
Tip: Mix the solution in a separate container.
