Preparation
Place the base with cable winder (5) and the electric kettle in a stable position (at
least 60 cm distance to other objects/wall).
Filling the electric kettle
Electric shock hazard!
Any water penetrating electrical parts of the electric kettle can cause
short circuits and electric shocks. This poses a risk of injury.
• Always disconnect the mains plug from the socket before cleaning the electric
kettle or fi lling it with water.
• Make sure that no liquid reaches the electrical components of the electric kettle.
• Regularly check the appliance for damage that could facilitate the ingress of
water.
• Follow these measures to protect yourself from potential electrical hazards.
1. Open the lid (1) by pressing the lid opening button (2).
2. Fill the water tank (min. 0.5 litres and max. 1.7 litres) with cold tap water.
3. Close the lid (1) – you should hear it click into place.
4. Wipe off any spilt water.
Boiling water
1. Place the electric kettle on the base with cable winder (5).
2. Insert the mains plug into a properly installed socket.
3. Press the On/Off button
4. You can also set the temperature manually in 5°C increments from 40° to
100°C
5. Bring the water to the boil. As soon as the set temperature is reached, the
electric kettle automatically switches to standby mode and a signal tone
sounds.
6. The display switches to standby mode after 30 seconds.
Note: If you want to stop heating the water prematurely, press the On/Off
button
(17).
7. Select the keep warm button
2 hours. If the water temperature falls 5°C below the set value, the heating
process is restarted.
