• Cleaning and user maintenance by children is not permitted, unless they are 8
years or older and supervised. Keep the electric kettle and its connecting cables
out of the reach of children younger than 8 years when switching it on and
letting it cool down.
• Children must not play with the electric kettle as they do not understand the
hazards associated with handling electrical appliances. Use and keep the
electric kettle therefore out of the reach of children younger than 8 years. Do
not let the mains cable dangle so that it cannot be pulled.
• Keep packaging material (e.g. foil bags) out of the reach of children.

• Never place the electric kettle, connecting cable and mains plug on hot
surfaces or near heat sources or naked flames. Do not expose the electric kettle
to intense heat (heat sources, radiators, sunlight). Position the mains cable in
such a way that it does not touch hot or sharp­edged objects. Electric shock
hazard!
• Only use a fire blanket to extinguish burning appliances.
• The electric kettle is designed for domestic use, not for commercial use. Do
not use the electric kettle outdoors as it must not be exposed to rain or other
moisture. Electric shock hazard!
• Never store the electric kettle in such a way that it can fall into a bathtub
or a sink.
• The electric kettle is designed for indoor use only.
• Only use the electric kettle with dry hands!
• Always disconnect the mains plug and allow the electric kettle to cool down
completely before you clean it and put it away.
• Never use in the vicinity of water (bathtubs, sinks, etc.).
• If the electric kettle falls into water, disconnect the mains plug before removing
it. Do not use the electric kettle after that. The appliance must be checked by
a qualified specialist before being used again. The same applies if the mains
cable or the appliance are damaged or if the appliance has been dropped.

• The appliance may only be repaired by an authorised specialist workshop.
Improper repairs may result in considerable danger to users.
• If the electric kettle is used for purposes other than intended or is operated
incorrectly, no liability can be assumed for any damage that occurs. In this
case, the guarantee claim will lapse.
• The appliance must not be altered or modified, as this may result in hazards
with unforeseeable consequences. Electric shock hazard, fire hazard and risk
of scalding!
• Do not insert fingers or objects into the openings of the appliance. Do not cover
the openings of the appliance.
