WArNING! Read and observe all safety instructions below. Failure to
observe these instructions may result in considerable risks of accident
and injury as well as damage to property and the appliance.
• Keep these operating instructions for further use. If this electric kettle is passed
on to third parties, these operating instructions must also be handed over.
• Only connect the electric kettle to a properly installed Schuko socket with a
mains voltage corresponding to the rating plate.
• Always disconnect the mains plug whenever the electric kettle is not in use and
before cleaning or in the event of malfunctions or thunderstorms! Never tug at
the mains cable! Electric shock hazard!
• Ensure that the socket is located near the electric kettle and readily accessible
so that the appliance can be quickly disconnected from the mains in the event
of a fault.
• Do not use the electric kettle if you are standing on a damp floor or if your
hands or the appliance are wet. Electric shock hazard!
• Check the appliance, mains cable and extension cable for damage before
each use.
• Do not use the electric kettle if it has been dropped, if it shows visible damage
or if it is leaking.
• Never put a damaged electric kettle incl. mains cable into operation – have
it repaired or replaced by the manufacturer, its service centre or a qualified
specialist in order to avoid hazards.
• Never open the electric kettle and under no circumstances attempt to reach
inside with metal objects. Electric shock hazard!
• Never carry or pull the electric kettle by the mains cable. Electric shock
hazard!
• Do not kink, trap or bend the mains cable over sharp edges. Do not wrap the
mains cable around the appliance as this might rupture the cable. Electric
shock hazard!
• Always switch off unused or unattended electric kettles and pull out the mains
plug to avoid accidents.
• Never connect several household appliances simultaneously to the same
Schuko socket to avoid accidents.
• Never submerge the electric kettle, connecting cables and the mains plug in
water or other liquids. Make sure that water only enters the tank provided for
this purpose. No liquid must enter the housing of the appliance.
• Children aged 8+ and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, lack of experience and knowledge may use the electric kettle only
if they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or if they have
been shown how to use the appliance safely and understood the risks involved.
