cAUtION! Hot surface!
High temperatures are generated when the appliance is used, so that the surfaces
get very hot and may cause burns. Never touch the hot surfaces and keep in
mind that the electric kettle may still be very hot after use. Therefore, only use the
electric kettle by the handle (3) provided for this purpose.
• Never leave the electric kettle unattended while it is plugged in!
• Always disconnect the appliance from the mains before refilling and emptying
the water tank.
• The filling chute with lid must not be opened during operation.
• The electric kettle must be used and placed on a stable surface.
• Do not use the electric kettle in the vicinity of flammable liquids and vapours.
Sparks can cause an explosion.
• Never operate the electric kettle in a flammable environment or where oxygen
is administered.
• Only fill water into the designated water tank. Cleaning agents suitable for
descaling household appliances are an exception to this.
• The escaping vapour can cause burns or scalds!
• Ensure that neither other people, especially children, nor pets can burn
themselves on the electric kettle.
• Never direct the steam jet towards body parts, persons, animals or plants!
• Always operate and place the electric kettle on a dry, firm, level, stable and
heat­resistant surface.
• Do not fill the tank with water above the maximum fill level. Observe the
"MAX" mark on the water level indicator.
• Do not operate or connect the electric kettle to a timer or remote-controlled
switch.
• Only use tap water to fill the water tank.
• Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or abrasives for cleaning.
• Be sure to observe all further instructions on cleaning and maintenance in the
"Cleaning" section.
