NOtE: Damage to property!
Before using the appliance for the first time, check the scope of delivery
and the condition of the appliance for completeness and any transport
damage.
• Open the package carefully to not damage the appliance.
• Carefully unpack the appliance.
• Remove all parts of the packaging.
• Make sure that both the electric kettle and the base with cable winder (5) are
included and intact.
• Follow the cleaning instructions in the "Cleaning" section.
• Do not operate the appliance if any parts are damaged or missing.
• In such a case, contact your retailer to exchange or return the appliance.
Danger of suffocation!
Packaging materials constitute a choking hazard and are not suitable
as toys.
• Do not allow children to play with packaging materials.
• Keep packaging materials out of the reach of children.
PrEPArING FOr FIrSt USE
NOtE: Odour and noise development!
When using the appliance for the first time, it may emit light vapours or odours.
These are production or transport residues that quickly disappear. In addition,
you may hear subtle noises such as cracking or crackling. These also disappear
quickly after the plastic parts have finally adapted under operating conditions.
Please ensure adequate ventilation.
1. Wipe the electric kettle with a soft, damp cloth.
2. Place the electric kettle on the base with cable winder (5).
3. Insert the mains plug into a properly installed socket.
4. To remove any production or transport residues, fill the appliance with water,
boil it and then pour it into the sink. Repeat this procedure if necessary.
5. Disconnect the mains plug from the socket and allow the electric kettle to cool.
NOtE: Additional cleaning
If necessary, the appliance can be prepared for use by thorough cleaning in
accordance with the information contained in the "Cleaning" section.
