High-Resolution Colour Camera
Please read these operating instructions carefully prior to
installation and keep them for later use.
1 Applications
This high-resolution colour camera with zoom lens is spe-
cially designed for applications in video surveillance sys-
tems (CCTV). It is suited for installation on ceilings or
walls. The camera is equipped with a weatherproof hous-
ing (IP 66) and with 36 Infrared LEDs which are automat-
ically activated / deactivated according to the lighting con-
ditions. Due to a variety of setting possibilities via OSD
menu, it will be possible to optimally match the camera to
the corresponding application.
2 Important Notes
The camera corresponds to all relevant directives of the
EU and is therefore marked with
.
CAUTION When setting up the camera, never look di-
rectly into the lit IR LEDs from a close range. The infrared
light may cause eye irritation. However, the infrared
radiation is far below the emission limit and rated risk-
free according to EN 62471.
G
Protect the camera against extreme temperatures (ad-
missible ambient temperature range -10 °C to +50 °C).
G
The camera housing is weatherproof; however, it is not
completely watertight. Therefore, do not immerse the
camera in water.
G
Protect the lens against direct sunlight; otherwise the
CCD chip may be damaged.
G
Never use aggressive detergents or chemicals for
cleaning the housing.
G
No guarantee claims for the camera and no liability for
any resulting personal damage or material damage will
be accepted if the camera is used for other purposes
than originally intended, if it is not correctly installed or
operated, or if it is not repaired in an expert way.
If the camera is to be put out of operation defin-
itively, take it to a local recycling plant for a dis-
posal which is not harmful to the environment.

3 Installation
1) Connect the BNC inline jack (6) via a 75 Ω coaxial
cable to the video input of a monitor. With a cable
length exceeding 100 m, it is recommended to insert a
video amplifier between the camera and the long cable
to compensate level loss caused by the cable.
2) Connect the low-voltage inline jack (7) to a regulated
power supply (12 V / 400 mA). For this purpose, use a
plug of the dimensions 5.5 / 2.1 mm (outside / inside
diameter). Always observe the correct polarity: inside
contact = + .
3) Switch on the monitor and align the camera to the sur-
veillance zone in order to find its optimum mounting lo-
cation: for turning, tilting and panning the camera, re-
lease the locking screws (5) for the corresponding axes
and fasten them again after aligning.
4) Fasten the base of the camera bracket to the mounting
location by means of the installation material provided.
Guide the connection cable through an opening in the
wall or through the lateral cable inlet in the base. For
outdoor installation, the cable inlet must point down-
wards to prevent precipitation from entering the
bracket.
The connections (6, 7) and the cable distributor (8)
are not weatherproof. For outdoor installation, protect
them accordingly.
5) Adjust the image section with the zoom control (2) and
the sharpness with the focus control (3). To turn a con-
trol, release the screw of the corresponding control with
the screwdriver provided. After adjusting, always fasten
the screws again to ensure weatherproofness.
4 Settings in the OSD Menu
Use a coin to unscrew the cover (1) on the rear side of
the camera so that the control panel (4) with its five
buttons is accessible.
