• Press the spool insert as far as it will go
and­pull­firmly­on­the­end­of­the­string.
If no line ends are visible:
• Replace the spool (see chapter on 'Re-
placing/mounting the spool').

Always wear the shoulder
strap and suitable protective
clothing when working with the
device. Wear eye, hearing and
head protection.
Ensure that the blade is installed
correctly. Replace damaged or
blunt tool parts.
There is a risk of injury.
Only use the cutting blade to work
on­open,­even­areas.­Carefully­in-
spect the area to be cut and remove
all foreign bodies. Avoid hitting
stones,­metal­or­other­obstacles.­
The blade can be damaged and
there is a risk of kickback by the
device.
•­ When­working,­hold­the­cutting­head­
above the ground and slowly swivel the
device back and forth in an equal arc.

• Do not hold the cutting head at an
angle.
• Do not use the device to cut wild
growth or brushwood.

Clean­the­device­and­remove­any­grass­

cover (see the chapter on 'Maintenance

Only Smart Performance batteries
can be connected to the Parkside
app. The device connects to the app
via the battery.

them click into place.
