Additional safety rules
To prevent personal injury and
damage to property:
1. Caution! Always keep your hands
andfeetawayfromthecuttingarea,
especially when starting the device. Al-
ways keep the hand on the additional
handle free.
2. Always hold the device with both
hands on the multifunction han-
dlebars. Always keep the device at a
suitable safety distance from the body
and maintain a stable body posture.
3. Always wear safety goggles.
4. Only use the device in daylight or
wherethereisgoodartificiallighting.
5. Do not use the device in the rain or on
wet grass.
6.Checkthedevicefordamagebefore
useorafteranimpact,andrepairif
necessary.
7. Do not use the device if the safety
equipment is damaged or incorrectly
installed.
8.Ensurethatthemotor'sventilationslits,
the protective cover and cutting unit are
always free of dirt or residual material.
9.Duringtheworkprocess,always
ensure that there are no people or ani-
mals within a radius of at least 15 m.
Immediatelyswitchoffthemachine if
anyone,especiallychildren,getswithin
range of the machine.
When using the device, stones
and other objects can be eject-
ed, which may lead to serious
injuries.
10. W henthedeviceisinoperation,do
not get near to the moving parts (within
the cutting unit area). The cutting
head will keep rotating for a
few seconds after the device has
been switched off.
11. B eforeusingthedevice,stones,twigs
and any other solid material must be
removed from the work area.
Only start the machine as described
inthemanual.Itmustnotbeupside
down when starting or in the working
position.
Do not cross any gravel roads or paths
with the device running.
12. E xtremecautionisrequiredwhenex-
tending the cutting line. There is a risk
of cutting injuries. After performing
thesesteps,thedevicemustbebrought
back into the correct working position
beforebeingre-started.
13. Do not use any metallic cutting spools.
Note that the device will continue to
operate for a few seconds after you let
go of the switch.
14. Switch the motor off (on/off switch off)
if:
- Notusingit,
- Leavingitunattended,
- Cleaningit,
- Transportingitfromonelocationto
another,
- Removingorreplacingthecutting
unit or adjusting the length of the
cutting line by hand.
15. Length of use and breaks
Prolonged use of the motorised device
can lead to problems with the blood
circulation in the hands caused by vi-
brations.Youcanhoweverextendyour
machine use time by wearing appropri-
ate gloves or by taking regular breaks.
