Charging the battery
Ifwarm,allowthebatterytocool
before charging.
Chargethebattery(20)whenonly
theredLEDonthechargelevelin-
dicator (14) is illuminated.
1. Ifnecessary,removethebattery(20)
from the device.
2. Slide the battery (20) into the charging
slot of the charger (21).
3. Plug the charger (21) into a socket.
4. Oncechargingiscomplete,disconnect
the charger (21) from the mains supply.
5. Remove the battery (20) from the
charger (21).
Putting the shoulder strap on
Always wear the shoulder
strap when working with the
device. Always turn the device off
before taking off the shoulder
strap. Accident hazard.
In a hazardous situation, press on
either side of the quick release de-
vice (see
) to clear the quick
release device.
1. Put the shoulder strap (22) on.
2. Adjust the length of the strap so that
thesnaphookisapproximately10cm
below your hip.

3. Attach the snap hook to the eyelet (12)
on the shaft tube of the device. Unhook
the device before starting the engine
and fasten it to the carrying harness
once the engine is running. Place the
body protection on your hip between
your body and the device.
Switching on and off
The device may only be used with
twobatteriesoftheParksideX 20 V
Team series.
Ensureyourstanceisstableand
hold the appliance tightly with both
hands and away from your body.
Beforeswitchingthedeviceon,
make sure that it is not touching any
objects.
Switching on
1. First press the on/off switch (13) to acti-
vate the device.
The current speed preselection
(level 1/2/3) is indicated by
the small lamp lighting up. Se-
lect the desired speed by pressing the
button (9).
2. Operate the switch lock (11) and then
press the start lever (10).
The device starts at the preselec-
tedspeed,butreducesthe
speedtoECOmode(3500rpm
)atlowload.Underload,thespeed
automatically increases again to the
previously selected level.
3. Release the switch lock (11).
The device cannot be switched to
continuous operation.
