Micro Data Center Level A
5.3 Cable duct application and sealing
The cable entries in the Micro Data Center Level A are
EN
a component of the fire protection testing feature.
Rittal assumes responsibility for product liability in re-
lation to protection values only once the cable duct
has been sealed by qualified staff. You will find a fax
request form enclosed so that you can have the cable
duct sealed within Germany by our qualified person-
nel. The sealing takes place after the user has ins-
talled all the components in the Micro Data Center
Level A.

Determining the diameter of all data and resource
supply lines that have to be led into the Micro Data
Center Level A.

Drilling the holes
To drill the holes, the fireblock bricks must be placed
in a special device (the service technician will bring
this along) or installed in the enclosure. The individual
elements are screwed on to the outside of the safe
wall.

from the inside, and on the right from the outside)

The Micro Data Center
Level A is supplied with
open cable entries. The
materials for sealing are
included in the Micro

The diameter of the holes
is approx. 0.2 mm larger
than the diameter of the
cable.

Cooling

Fig. 12: Cooling unit
When using the cooling unit, it is possible that the air
inside the Micro Data Center Level A may lose its
moisture as a side effect. This way, given the high hu-
midity and low internal temperatures within the Micro
Data Center Level A, condensate will be led out of the
device, see page 13, "5.2.1 Climate control unit –
condensate disccharge".
Ensure any condensate that arises is suitably dischar-
ged at the site where the Micro Data Center Level A
s to installed.
The condensate must be able to run off freely. If the
condensate is to be drained off over a greater dis-
tance, then care must be taken that the hose is free
from kinks and a check for correct drainage made.
The individual fireblock
bricks are inserted one
after the other from the
outside and then scre-
wed tight.
The cable and the si-
phon for the condensate
discharge are inserted
through the opening pro-
vided for this purpose.
After closing of the cable
duct, the joins between
the fireblocks and the
cover plate (see Fig. 11)
are to be sealed with
Terostat 92 PU, to ensu-
re that the insulation ma-
terial is properly covered
and is not left open.
The Terostat sealant is
included in the scope of
supply of the Micro Data
Center Level A.
