Maintenance
Attention!
Before beginning to make any changes on the ma-
chine, or any maintenance work
1. Unplug the unit!
2. Wait until the motor has cooled down.
Regular maintenance is absolutely necessary for
the unimpeded functioning of your machine.
Cleaning
Always keep the unit clean and orderly!
Only clean the motor with a rag. Avoid hosing it down
with water under pressure.
Do not use any cleaning or solvent fluids: these could
damage the plastic parts.
In particular, the suction nozzle and the filter must be
carefully cleaned and maintained in order to avoid dam-
age.

The filter unit (9) can be removed for replacement or
cleaning by turning and pulling it out.
The filter can be cleaned by blowing it through with
compressed air at a low pressure.
Inspection and maintenance
Only allow trained specialists to attend to any neces-
sary repairs

10. Electrical Connection

Connections and repairs to the electrical wiring may be
done only by an electrician.
The installed electrical motor is connected so that it can
operate. The connection corresponds to the relevant
VDE and DIN regulations.
The connection to the power source by the customer,
as well as any extension cables must correspond to
these regulations.
Important Note
Damaged electrical wiring
Insulation damage occurs frequently on electrical wir-
ing.
The causes are:
• Pressure points, when wiring is led through window
or door openings.
• Bending points due to inexpert fixing or placement
of extension cables.
• Cuts due to the wiring being driven over.
• Damage to the insulation due to the plug being torn
out of the outlet.
• Tears due to ageing of the insulation.
Do not use any damaged electrical wiring: they can
be mortally dangerous due to the damaged insula-
tion.
Check electrical wiring regularly for damage. Make
sure that the electrical wiring is not connected when it
is being inspected.
Electrical wiring must correspond to the relevant VDE
and DIN regulations. Only use extension cables with
the designation H05VV-F
Regulations demand that the designation be printed on
the extension cables

Alternating current motor
• The electrical current must correspond to that
given on the rating plate.
• Extension cords must have a minimum cross sec-
tion of 1.0 mm3.
• The power connection must have an appropriate
safety fuse.
Should there be any questions, please indicate the fol-
lowing data:
• Motor manufacturer
• Data on the machine-type label
• Data on the switch type label
If the motor has to be sent in, then please send in the
complete engine unit with the switch.
