Short description of the device main features:
The Powerlec Vario Plus is equipped with a special brake which stops the forward motion of the piston / dies when the operating switch is relea-
sed.
The punching head can be rotated continuously around the longitudinal axis in order to gain better access to tight corners and other difficult working
areas.
A white LED lamp illuminates the working area after actuating the operating switch and turns off automatically 10 seconds after releasing the
operating switch. This feature can be deactivated (see fig. 14, page 3).
The compact ergonomic shaped housing consists of 2 components. The grip area is particularly slip-free through its rubber coating and together
with the barycentric housing, the Powerlec Vario Plus is comfortable to hold and assists in fatigue-free application.
All functions of the Powerlec Vario Plus can be controlled with one control knob, resulting in simple handling and improved support, in comparison
to two-button operation.
Li-Ion batteries do neither have memory nor self-discharge effects, providing the operator even after long breaks, always with an operational
device. In contrast to NiMH batteries, Li-Ion batteries weighs less, have 50% more capacity and shorter recharge times.
The oil used, is a fast biodegradable and non-water-endangering high performance hydraulic oil with the
is suitable for very low temperatures and has excellent lubricating properties.
The Powerman Vario Plus is equipped with a microprocessor control which shuts off the motor automatically after completing the punching
operation, indicating service intervals and battery charge status and performs an error-diagnostic.
Description of the operating functions:
Press the control switch continuously to trigger the punching operation. The unit is equipped with a special brake which stops the forward motion of the
piston when the trigger is released.
Description of the punching process:
The punching process is marked by the retraction of the stamp into the die. The metal sheet to be processed is positioned between the punch and the die.
To initiate the punching process it is mandatory to screw the punch up to the sheet until they contact each other, providing thereby that the entire stroke is
available for the punching process. After triggering the operation switch, the punch will be drawn into the sheet.
The punching process is completed if the punch has completely penetrated into the die. At this point, release the control switch to prevent possible damages
to the punch or die. Subsequently, the punch can be pulled out of the sheet.
The pressure relief valve is released during a punching process as soon as the maximum force has been exceeded, which results in the immediate
cancellation of the punching process. By a single operation of the retract slide, the pressure ring returns independently to its starting position.
- The punching process can be interrupted at any time by releasing the control switch.
- Disassemble the punch and die and remove the remaining scraps. After the removal, further punching operations can be performed.
- Using häwa cutting oil type 2684-0700-25-00 to lubricate the punch cutting edges prior to the punching process will extend the service
lifetime of the tool.
- The Powerlec Vario Plus may not be operated again directly after a punch / switch off process, as contact between the punch and
die may follow. This can lead to fraction of the punched hole and people can get hurt by flying parts.
