Assembly of the cycle rack to the towbar
For assembly, the vehicle should be positioned horizontally, the motor switched off and the
handbrake applied. Ensure that the towbar is undamaged, clean and free of grease. The bolt lever of
the quick release fastener needs to be pulled back and the quick release fastener unlocked; to do this
you will need to pull the fastening bolt outwards and turn it. The rack is placed on the towbar
horizontally. Push down the bolt lever again. Turn the fastening bolt until it clicks into place again.
Now check the lateral twist of the rack. If this is not tight, pull back the bolt lever again and turn the
adjustment screw slightly inwards and tighten with the nut. See picture . Check the rack again to see
if it is tightly in position. Keep repeating this process until the rack sits securely on the ball of the
towbar. Now secure the bolt lever and the rocker lever and lock these using the supplied padlock .
Note: The padlock serves safety and also acts as a theft protection device.
The rack may not be used without this safety feature.
The fold-down mechanism must also be secured with the supplied padlock.

Second Strap
The first bike is to be placed centrally in the bike rail (nearest to the vehicle) and fixed to the U-bolt
with the short frame holder. Fix the running wheels by loosening the stoppers, pushing them to the
wheel and tightening the belts. Then reset the stoppers.
Caution: the front wheel must also be secured with a small strap in order to prevent twisting.

To do this, unscrew the lockable finger nuts from the frame holders and remove the fixing clip with
the spring. The distance tube must also be removed. Take the U–bolt clip from the threaded rod and
place it around the U-bolt. Finally, refit the frame holder in the inverse order. The second bike is
normally to be placed in the second rail in the opposite direction and fixed to the U-bolt with the
long frame holder. It may be necessary to place the bikes individually on the rear carrier, rather than
as described, so the frame holders can be fixed correctly. Now place safety belt pos. I through the
bike frame and around the U-bolt and tighten the safety belt firmly.
Caution:
Never use the carrier without the safety belt when loaded!
Folding down the cycle rack
Hold the U-bracket with one hand so that the rack does not fold down suddenly. With the other
hand press the lever of the folding mechanism downwards. You can now fold down the rack
carefully. If the rack table is lifted, this will click back into its working position again.
