8.3 Connecting the hob to the mains
WARNING!
Risk of electric shock!
There is a risk of fatal electric shock if the appliance
is connected by unqualified persons!
This hob may only be installed/connected and earthed
by a certified electrician in accordance with the applicable
regulations and standards!
The connection sketches in this section must be observed!
Important notes on connection to the mains
• The installer must ensure that an easily accessible
all-pole circuit breaker (fuse) with a contact gap of at least 3 mm
is integrated into the appliance's circuit,
which complies with the applicable regulations
and ensures complete disconnection of the appliance
from the power supply in an emergency.
The earth wire must not be interrupted by the fuse in the process.
• For installation on multiple phases, use the mains cable supplied
and only replace it with one of the same type if necessary.
• If the hob is connected to one phase, the cable must be replaced
and connected by a qualified electrician.
• The cable must be laid in such a way that it cannot be kinked,
crushed or twisted and its temperature never exceeds 75˚C.
• Do not use adapters, reducers or branching devices to connect the
hob to the mains, as these may cause overheating and fire.
