Switching off cooking zones
• Touch the cooking zone selection key
of the cooking zone you want to switch off.
• While the corresponding cooking zone display is flashing,
touch the left end of the slider for at least 2 seconds.
The cooking zone is then switched off.
Switching off the hob
• Touch the on / off key
When all display fields have switched off (except for
the residual heat warning(s) of corresponding cooking
zones, if applicable), the hob is switched off.
CAUTION!
Risk of burns!
Used cooking zones can still be very hot even after they
have been switched off and pose a risk of burns!
Do not touch the glass ceramic until it has cooled down
to a safe temperature and all residual heat warnings
( on the cooking zone display) have gone out!
Note that these also go out in the event of a power inter-
ruption and any residual heat that is present is no longer
displayed.
Saving energy with the residual heat warning
If you want to heat additional cookware,
you can save energy by using remaining heat.
To do this, select a cooking zone whose residual heat
display is still active.
