4.4 The flex zone function
The front and rear cooking zones on the left and right (cooking zones 1+2 /
4+5) each form a flex zone, i.e. they can be operated as independent
induction zones or connected together as one large zone.
If, during operation as one large zone, the cookware is moved
from the front part to the rear part (or vice versa) within the flexible area,
the new position is automatically detected;
the power level of the zone on which the cookware was originally placed
is maintained and the part not covered by the cookware is automatically
switched off.
Important note on placement on the flex zone
Always ensure that the cookware is placed centrally on the flex zone
or in the case of 2 cooking vessels, that it is evenly distributed.
When using large cooking vessels, make sure that they cover both
cooking zone markings.
Observe the following illustrations for this:
Cooking zone connection to a flex zone
• To operate a flex zone as one large zone,
touch the corresponding flex zone key
A dot lighting up above the key indicates activation.
• You can set the power level using the slider,
as described for the individual cooking zones.
Disconnecting
• To deactivate the Flex zone, touch the corresponding flex zone key
again, so that the lighting dot switches off.
• The currently set power levels remain unchanged
and can now be set independently of each other again.
