• In the event of any complaints regard-
ing the product such as damage to the
fabric or a fault in the fit, please report
to your specialist medical retailer di-
rectly. Only serious incidents which
could lead to a significant deteriora-
tion in health or to death are to be re-
ported to the manufacturer or the rel-
evant authorities in the EU member
state. The criteria for serious incidents
are defined in Section 2, No. 65 of the
Regulation (EU) 2017/745 (MDR).
• The sewn-in fabric label is an impor-
tant component in ensuring that the
identification and traceability of the
product is guaranteed. Therefore, en-
sure that it is not removed from the
compression clothing under any cir-
cumstances. Do not tear it out or cut it
out, as this renders any claim to the
guarantee, repair or exchange null and
void.
8. Care instructions - what do I need to
do when putting on my sheer & soft
compression clothing?

Ideally, you should put the compression
clothing on immediately after you wake
up. If you have a shower in the morning
and then apply skin care products (see
"Section 10 - Skin care products" here),
then you should wait a while until your
skin is completely dry. This will make it
far easier to put on the compression
clothing. Please also ensure that you
have your medi fabric gloves or rubber
gloves ready. These are available from
specialist medical retailers. You will use
them later. They make it easier to distri-

bute the fabric over the leg, or you can
use them to put the stocking on, right
from the beginning. The gloves proffer
excellent purchase and make it easier to
put on the clothing.
Tip: Ask about useful donning aids such
as the medi Butler, medi 2in1 and medi
slide.
When you are putting the clothing on,
ensure that your fingernails have been
filed into a smooth, rounded shape. It is
also important to ensure that your
heels and toenails are well cared for to
avoid causing damage to the knit fabric.
Only put your jewellery or watch on
once you have put the compression
clothing on. To ensure that your com-
pression stocking is easy to put on, sit
down and place your foot on an eleva-
ted support, such as a small stool.
A. Reach into the compression stocking
and grasp the heel. Hold the heel and
turn the compression stocking inside
out.
B. The foot part (which has remained
inside the compression stocking) now
forms an opening. Stretch the opening
out slightly using both hands.
C. Slide your foot into the opening and
pull the compression stocking over your
foot carefully, up to the heel.
D. Then distribute the material evenly
over the leg without causing wrinkles.
Do this by pulling it up the leg bit by bit,
ensuring that the compression stocking
is not overstretched. In the interim,
check that it is correctly fitted on the toe
and heel. If required, correct this once
you have put it on by pulling the com-
pression stocking down slightly (tip: this
is easier if you use the gloves).
E. Finally, check the position of your
compression stocking. A knee stocking
should be positioned around two centi-
