The RMO-S550 MO disk unit has the following features.
Magneto-optical technology enables data to be written on the disk and
erased over and over again.
Any disk conforming to the internationally accepted CCS (continuous/
composite servo) format standard can be used in this disk unit.
This disk unit employs SCSI (Small Computer System Interface).
Use of a highly reliable error correction system (long-distance code) keeps
the error rate as low as 10°!,
The RMO-S550 can use the following 5.25-inch magneto-optical disks.

Sony EDM-1DA0/1DA0S magneto-optical disk (1024 bytes/sector)
Sony EDM-1DA1/1DA1S magneto-optical disk (512 bytes/sector)

The RMO-S550 should be used with a host computer equipped with SCSI.
You can link a maximum of seven peripherals on the SCSI bus.
