OPERATION
OPERATION
Before plugging in the appliance or switching on the main switch upstream, make sure the
appliance switch is set to "0". Insert locking tab of the hopper and check that it slides into
place. Place the hopper in its seat until it is firmly secure. Then attach it to the grinding
adjustment ring nut using the special screw supplied with the unit, aligning the hole on the
hopper with the one on the ring nut.
If your Coffee grinder is a version with an AUTOMATIC dispenser, check that the lever
inside the dispenser is in the correct position.
The Grinder-dispenser is now ready for operation.
Pour coffee beans into the hopper. Open the tab. Insert the plug into the socket and
switch on the main switch located upstream to position "I". For safety reasons, the user
is not allowed to remove any screws from the grinder. This operation may be carried out
by qualified technicians only, after disconnecting the appliance from the power supply.
It is advisable to check the grit of the ground coffee; each grinder is set to a 'medium fine'
grit. In case this is not to your liking, you should operate as follows:

There are several protection systems (described above) to prevent access to the rotat-
ing parts such as the safety screws on the hopper and the ring nut, the protection cone
fixed inside the hopper and the metal protection positioned in front of the ground
coffee outlet. All these devices are designed to protect the safety of the user. For this
reason, they must absolutely never be removed or modified, and any malfunctioning
problems should be referred to highly qualified technical personnel.
GRINDING ADJUSTMENT M80-Q50:
Press the ring nut pawl downwards. Turn the ring nut clockwise to obtain a coarser grit,
counterclockwise to obtain a coarser grit (Fig. 4). To prevent removal of the ring nut and
consequent free access to the grinding unit, place the anti-unscrewing screw in the hole
allowing the widest adjustment.
GRINDING ADJUSTMENT Q13:
Use the specific pin to turn the ring nut clockwise to obtain a coarser grit. Instead, turn
the ring nut anti-clockwise to obtain a finer grit (Fig. 5).
GRINDING ADJUSTMENT T48:
Turn the ring nut clockwise to obtain a coarser grit, counterclockwise to obtain a coarser
grit (Fig. 6).
