in the ends of the threshold strip by using a helping
adhesive tape and the door threshold -detail Fig. 4, 5-.
- Then fix the threshold strip using a suitable adhesive
tape to the door threshold.
- One by one, tear off the cover paper whilst pressing the
GB
threshold strip to the door threshold with the spatula.
- Keep tearing off loosen cover paper during gluing the
threshold strip. At the same time check the correct po-
sition of the glued threshold strip.
- Proceed with extreme caution when gluing the
bevel end of the threshold strip on the front part of the
threshold.
- Once the threshold strip is glued on the threshold, glue
the threshold strip over the the edge of the threshold.
- Press the glued threshold strip along the entire sur-
face of the vehicle threshold with a fine clout.
- In the same way glue the threshold strip on the door
threshold of the other side of the car.
- After the elapse of about 30 minutes, press on the
entire circumference of the threshold strip gently with
your thumb.
Threshold strips - rear
- Place the threshold strip on the door threshold,
according to the dimension specified on Fig. 16.
Measure the place for creating the mark on the door
threshold for placing the threshold strip from the
bottom suspension of the back door. Then trans-
fer the value (125 mm) via vertical line on the door
threshold and, using a suitable marker, draw a point
on the door threshold. Put the threshold strip front
side to the mark; in laterial direction the guide triangle
must copy the edge of the threshold; using the marker
create a mark on the helping adhesive tape and the
door threshold as shown on -Fig. 16-.
- Position the longitudinal margin of the threshold strip
in parallel to the door sealing. Check the position of
the strip. Then create a guide mark in the rear end of
the threshold strip on a helping adhesive tape and the
door threshold -detail Fig. 17-.
- Then fix the threshold strip using a suitable adhesive
tape to the door threshold.
- The procedure of gluing the rear threshold strip is
identical with that of gluing the front threshold
strips - see Fig. 6 - 14.
