3.2.
INTENDED USE
For clamping tools with shanks made of carbide and HSS in suitable chucks by
shrink fitting.
Maximum shrink-fit tool length 500 mm.
For use as a bench-top device.
For work in industrial environments.
Use only on a flat and clean base.
Shrink fit only clean tools in clean chucks.
Use only original spare parts and wearing parts.
Use only when correctly assembled and with safety devices and guards on the
machine fully operational.
Use only when it is technically in good condition and safe to operate.
3.3.
REASONABLY FORESEEABLE MISUSE
Do not use unsuitable chucks.
Do not use any highly flammable cleaning agents.
Not for use in areas where high concentrations of dust, flammable gases, vapours
or solvents are present.
Do not use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Do not carry out any unauthorised modifications.
Not for use where there is exposure to intense heat, direct sunlight, naked flames
or liquids.
3.4.
DUTIES OF THE OPERATING COMPANY
Ensure that all of the works listed below are carried out by qualified specialist person-
nel:

The operating company must ensure that personnel who work on the product com-
ply with the regulations and provisions together with the following instructions:
National and regional regulations for safety, accident prevention and environ-
mental protection regulations.
No damaged products are assembled, installed or commissioned.
The necessary protective equipment is provided.
For operation only by trained and instructed personnel.
Provide protection at hazard points.
3.5.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
Adhere to the national and regional regulations on safety and accident prevention.
Select and provide protective work wear, such as foot protection and protective
gloves, that is appropriate for the respective activity and the expected risks.
3.6.
PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS
Specialists for mechanical work
Specialists in the sense of this documentation are persons who are familiar with as-
sembly work, mechanical installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and mainten-
ance of the products and who possess the following qualifications:
Qualification / training in the field of mechanics as specified in the nationally ap-
plicable regulations.
Trained person
Trained persons in the sense of this documentation are persons who have been
trained to perform work in the areas of transport, storage and operation.
