Tape Play Operations

1 Cassette Slot
@insert the cassette with the exposed tape side facing to the right. Gently push the cassette in until the
mechanism captures the cassette.
@ After the loading is completed, the display changes to " THPE
" and the tape program indicator (A or
VW) will be illuminated, playback starts.
In case of TP/TA, display will not switch to " THPE " but station name or frequency wili be displayed.
2 Tape Program Selector

Press both buttons (""6%4", ",°§ ") firmly if you want to change the program of tape play.
The tape program indicator "TAPE &" or "THE W" will be illuminated. Otherwise, tape program will change
automatically at the end of the tape (Auto Reverse System).
Tape program indicator (* TAPE &" or * TAPE W")
The tape program indicator is displayed during tape mode operation.
"THRE &" : Displays the top side of the cassette is being played.
"TAPE W" : Displays the bottom side of the cassette is being played.
Note: "A" or "W' is always illuminated when the cassette tape is loaded.
3 Rewind/Fast Forward
@ Press the ",°>" button for fast forward. "A" or "W" indicator blinks. When the tape reaches its end, Autc
Reverse will operate and play back the opposite side of the tape.
@ Press the "REY" button for rewind. "A" or "W" indicator blinks. When the tape is fully rewound, the same side
of the tape will be played.
@To stop fast forward or rewind, simply release the "locked" button by pressing the other (opposite) button
half-way. Then the tape play will resume playing from that position.
4 To eject the tape
Press the "4" button and the cassette will pop out for removal, and the radio will be heard again.
Note: The cassette tape should always be removed from the cassette slot when not in use.
5 Metal Tape Selector
Press the MTL button for playing metal or chromium dioxide (CrO.) tape. The "MTL" indicator will be illuminated,
Press the button again for playing normal tape. The "MTL" indicator will be turned off.
Note; Wrong setting will cause high frequency imbalance.
