RDS (Radio Data System) Reception
A. AF Reception (FM1, FM2, TP MODE)
1 Turn on power switch
EON:CT and PTY may not be available in some areas (future additional functions to be transmitted from the
Station).
AF (Alternative Frequency)
Frequency
lists for stations
with
same
program
content.
Press AF button if you want to listen to the same
program successively as long as the AF network on
RDS system is being received. The "AF" indicator
will be illuminated.
If AF network
system
is not
required, press AF button again to off. The indicator
will be turned off.
@"AF'will not work (even if "AF" is switched on)
when the RDS broadcast station is not equipped
with AF system.
"RDS" Indicator
llluminates when the RDS
broadcast station is
tuned in.

AF
PS (Program Service) Name
When RDS broadcast station is tuned in, the name
of the station will be shown. If you want to see the
frequency, press the DISP button. However,
after
'several
seconds,
display
will
return
to the
PS
display.
Pi (Program Identification) Seek
if the RDS
broadcast station is preset and if its
reception is poor when it is called, then automatic
seek (PI Seek) will start to tune in to the same
program. To cancel PI seek, switch AF off.
The PI seek function varies depending on the ON or
OFF position of the LOC switch.
@ ON:
Searches for a station broadcasting the
same program.
Searches for a generically linked network
which may be airing a different program.
@ OFF:
"TP" indicator
liltuminates when the traffic-information
broadcast station is tuned in.

Information broadcast station is tuned in.
@ The clock is automatically corrected when RDS CT data is received.
