Funktionsweisen
Pumpenleistung
Um die Pumpe möglichst leise zu betreiben, wird der Osmolator
nicht mit der maximalen Pumpenleistung ausgeliefert. Mit einer
Förderhöhe von 3m und einem Durchfluss von 70 l/h auf 1,2 m
für die meisten Einbausituationen ist sie völlig ausreichend.
Sollte eine besondere Einbausituation vorliegen, die eine
größere Förderhöhe (z.B. Nachfüllwasser im Keller, sehr
lange Schläuche >3m) oder mehr Durchfluss (große Becken
>350L) erfordert, so kann die Pumpe auf die Boost Stufe
umgestellt werden. Für die Beckengröße ist hier vor allem
das Becken relevant, in welchem der Wasserstand gemessen
wird. Bei Messung in Klarwasserkammern mit relativ kleiner
Grundfläche tritt dieser Bedarf entsprechend später auf, als
bei Messung direkt im Aquarium.
In der Booststufe bietet die Pumpe eine Förderhöhe von 6,2 m
sowie einen Durchfluss von 112 L/h auf 1,2 m.
Zum Umschalten zwischen den Leistungsstufen muss der
Osmolator
3 innerhalb von 5s mehrfach vom Strom getrennt
®
und wieder angeschlossen werden. Nach dem 3-ten Anstecken
zeigt die Status-LED durch schnelles weißes Blinken,
dass die Booststufe aktiv ist. Um wieder zur Standartstufe zu
gelangen einfach den Prozess wiederholen. Die Status-LED
zeigt ein langsames weißes Blinken.
Entlüftungsmodus
Um einen problemlosen Anlauf der Pumpe beim ersten Start zu
gewährleisten, ist der Osmolator
3 mit einer Entlüftungsroutine
®
ausgestattet. Diese lässt die Pumpe beim ersten Anschließen
10s lang pulsen.

3 is not delivered with its maximum pump

performance. With a delivery height of 3 m (9.84' and a flow
of 70 L/h (18.49 USgal.) over 1.2 m (3.94'), it is completely
sufficient for most installation situations.
If there is a special installation situation that requires a
larger delivery head (e.g. refill water in the basement, very
long hoses >3 m (>9.84')) or more flow (large basins >350 L
(>92.5 USgal.)), the pump can be switched to the boost level.
When it comes to the size of the basin, the basin in which
the water level is measured is particularly relevant. When
measuring in clear water chambers with a relatively small
base area, this requirement occurs later than when measuring
directly in the aquarium.
In the boost level, the pump offers a delivery head of 6.2 m
(20.34') and a flow of 112 L/h (29.6 USgal.) over 1.2 m (3.94').
To switch between the power levels, the Osmolator
be disconnected from the power supply and reconnected
several times within 5s. After the third reconnection, the status
LED indicates that the boost level is active by quick white
flashing. To get back to the standard level, simply repeat the
process. The status LED shows a slow white flashing.
Venting mode
To ensure that the first start of the pump will be smooth, the
Osmolator
3 is equipped with a venting routine. This causes the

pump to pulse for 10s when it is first connected.
