– Stage 5 to Stage 7: for readjustment when the
bristles are worn down
The bristles of the circular brushes must only rest
on the ground with light pressure. Excessive sur‐
face pressure will accelerate wear and tear and
reduces the operating time of the battery.

► Turn the rotary switch (1) to the desired posi‐
tion.
The bristles (2) of the circular brushes rest
with only light pressure on the ground.

Sweeping
► Move the push sweeper slowly and steadily
forwards.
► Adapt the speed to the environment.
► You can drive over small elevations of 2 -
3 cm by pushing the push handle down
slightly.
For optimum performance, note the recommen‐
ded temperature ranges,

Emptying the Container
STIHL recommends emptying the container only
outdoors.
The sweeper container is full if the dirt that is col‐
lected during sweeping, escapes on the side.
To be able to continue working temporarily, lift
the push sweeper at the front to move the dirt in
the container towards the back. This makes bet‐
ter use of the capacity of the container.
► Switch off the push sweeper and remove the
battery.

► Fold the push handle (1) down.
► Pull the handle (2) upward.
► Remove the container (3) and empty it.

► Insert the container (3) in the push sweeper so
that the recesses (4) on the container (3) fit
into the mountings (5) of the push sweeper.
► Depress the handle (3).
► Fold the push handle (1) up.

Resetting Overload Protection
The push sweeper is equipped with overload
protection. The overload protection interrupts the
power supply to the push sweeper in the case of
mechanical overload. The overload protection
thus prevents damage to the push sweeper.
► Switch off the push sweeper and remove the
battery.
► Wait a few minutes.
The push sweeper must cool down.
► Remove the jamming in the circular brush or
sweeper drum assembly.
► Depress the reset button (1).
The reset button (1) engages in position. The
circuit is no longer interrupted.
