10.0 Appendix Peak Controller
10.1. Peak Controller
The following instructions only covers the basic instructions required to install the Peak Cont-
roller. When installing and connecting the Peak Controller, always refer to the Peak Controller
installation manual provided in the packaging and ensure that you comply with the local instal-
lation requirements.
10.2. Specified Use
SunPower Drive has a nominal current rating of 32A. In some households, the maximum rating
of the main grid connection point is not enough to support this load in addition to the normal
household loads. In such a case, an additional monitoring and control layer is required to ensu-
re the continuity of the electrical distribution under all conditions (blackout protection).
The Peak Controller actively senses the total household consumption and in turn limits the
maximum power draw of the SunPower Drive charging station, depending on the maximum
current threshold set by the user.
The Peak Controller is designed for use with the SunPower Drive charging station and should
not be used with other electrical devices.
