6.2. Connectivity settings
To initiate the commissioning process for the recently installed SunPower Drive, it is essential to
establish a functional data connection which is also required for ongoing control and monito-
ring. The SunPower Drive offers three methods of data connection: Ethernet, Wi-Fi and 4G (own
SIM and data contract required).
1.
Power cycle the charger at the dedicated charger MCB installed.
2. The charger is powering up, and after 30 seconds the Wi-Fi Access Point network associa-
ted with the SunPower Drive unit will be activated. This network is identifiable by the SSID
"SUNPOWER DRIVE".
3. On your mobile device or laptop, access the connectivity settings and locate this Wi-Fi Ac-
cess Point network.
4. No password is required to connect to the Drive unit network.
5. Once connected, launch your mobile browser and enter the IP address of the SunPower
Drive exactly: "http://192.168.87.136:8080". This action will display a simple interface enab-
ling the connection of the Drive unit to the on-site Ethernet, Wi-Fi or 4G network.
6. Log in with username (xxcd) and password (28912891).
As an alternative to connecting through the SunPower Drive Wi-Fi Access Point, you can also
connect using the Ethernet port on the back of the charger using a standard Ethernet cable
connected to your laptop.

Once connected, launch your laptop browser and enter the IP address of the SunPower
Drive exactly: "http://192.168.88.206:8080" and follow the same login procedure as listed
before.
Important: In some cases, the local laptop Network settings (IPv4) needs to be changed to
fall into the same subnet as SunPower Drive.
