Mounting/Dismounting

Mount the device carefully and only in accordance with the safety notes

6.1.1 Operating Position

Install the device on a level surface only, so that it is not subjected to torsion.

Secure the device using the anchoring brackets. Refer to the dimensional drawing for the

dimensions of the mounting holes.

Align the enclosure depending on the mounting type or further documentation:

• For vertical mounting: Any orientation
• For horizontal mounting: Cover on top

• The device must not be suspended above the ground and the cover must not be at an

angle.
• Take into account the clearance that is required to open the cover.

6.1.2 Environmental Installation Conditions

If the explosion-protected equipment is exposed to the weather, it is advisable to provide

a protective roof.

Equip explosion-protected electrical equipment with a breather and drain valve in order to
prevent the vacuum effect. Observe the correct mounting orientation when doing so;

Do not create any cold bridges (condensation hazard). If necessary, install the enclosure
with a clearance to minimise condensation in the enclosure.
