It is essential to fit a new form ring before
re-connecting the exhaust duct. Refer to the
installation instructions for Truma S 3004 /
S 5004
4.2 Installing Ultraheat in Truma S 3004
4.2.1 Preparing the installation box
There are two versions of the installation box. The dif-
ference is in the perforation for the temperature switch.
The two versions require different work steps.
If a perforation is present, break this out. Then insert the
temperature switch with a screw.
If there is no perforation, the respective holes and open-
ings must be made using the enclosed templates. Then
insert the temperature switch with two screws.
CAUTION
Risk of cuts from sharp edges on the instal-
lation box.
Wear safety gloves.

Break out the rectangular opening for the additional
heater (Fig. 2-1) on the installation box. To do this,
use a screwdriver to lever out the perforated open-
ing near the supports.

Break out the round opening for the temperature
switch (Fig. 3-1) on the installation box. To do
this, use a screwdriver to lever out the perforated
opening.

Place the template on the installation box.
Fix the template to the installation box with adhesive
tape.
With a 2.8 mm bit, drill the two holes for the screws
and pre-drill the hole for the temperature switch
(Fig. 4-1).
Remove the template.
Use a stepped drill bit to drill the centre hole for the
temperature switch to 17 mm (Fig. 4-2).

Practical tip: Use a stepped drill bit
Debur the large hole (17 mm).
4.2.2 Installing Ultraheat

Insert the mains cable and additional heater
(Fig. 5-1) from the inside of the installation box
(Fig. 5-2).
Fix the additional heater in place with six

3.5 x 9.5 mm self-tapping screws (Fig. 5-3).
