5 Commissioning
5.1 Commission the lithium battery
• Fieldgate SFG500 is delivered with the lithium battery in place, but isolated by a
plastic strip. This must be removed by trained personnel before Fieldgate SFG500
can be used.
• If the battery is inserted with the plus pole to the rear, this might lead to a device
failure

1. Open the battery compartment
a suitable tool e.g. a screwdriver with a blade of maximum width 3.5 mm.
2. Using the screwdriver, release the battery
gently upwards whilst at the same time exerting a little forward pressure on the
battery itself
3. Carefully remove the battery
4. Remove the isolating strips
5. Place the battery
front, and gently press it back into place, so that the catch
6. Insert the cover
