In this case, install the adhesive- or screw-mount-
ed version of Rotoclear S3. This usually requires
the replacement of the machinery glass.
Mounting
Remove the Rotoclear S or S2 and clean the
area around the cut-out with isopropyl alcohol.
The adapter, the safety window and
Rotoclear S3 are pre-assembled. Insert the unit
together with the adapter into the cut-out from
the inside.
Position the flange from the outside and
align the unit. Be careful that the unit does not fall
out.
Fix the unit in place using the corresponding
marked screws for the respective pane thickness-
es of 6-10 mm (M5 × 16), 11–15 mm (M5 × 20) or 16
mm (M5 × 25).
Safety information
Installation is exclusively approved for machines
that comply with the standard DIN EN ISO 16090-
1 (Machine tools safety - Machining centres, mill-
ing machines, transfer machines). Use the unit in
other machines at your own risk.
The safety window of the Rotoclear S / S2 is in-
stalled in the adapter flange.
Replace the safety window after the date indicat-
ed on the pane has expired.
Only use polycarbonate safety windows with re-
placement intervals of 2 years with thereplace-
ment kit for S and S2.
The machine must not be operated with the
adapter flange without a Rotoclear S3 mounted.
Changing the machinery glass
If you need to replace the machinery glass at a
later date due to the replacement interval elaps-
ing, order the new window without the 282 mm
cut-out. You can install the Rotoclear S3 on a new
window as described for the standard version
– i.e. without the adapter flange. We recommend
providing a compressed air supply (see chapter
Purge air supply).
