Operation and maintenance of the grinder
ON/OFF
The mains voltage must correspond to the voltage stated on the
nameplate of the grinder.
On - switch the switch button (1) in item I (Fig. E).
Shutdown - switch the switch button (1) in the O position.
OSCILLATING GRINDER WORK
• During operation, the entire grinding surface of the working foot must
rest on the workpiece surface.
• Apply moderate pressure to the grinder, move it over the material being
processed with rotational movements, in a transverse or longitudinal
direction.
• For rough work use sandpaper with coarser grain, and for finishing
work with fine grain. The type of sandpaper is best selected by trial.
• When finishing polishing, reduce the pressure on the grinder and lift it
above the workpiece and only then turn it off.
OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
Before proceeding with any installation, adjustment, repair or
maintenance activities, remove the plug of the power cord from the
mains outlet.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
• It is recommended to clean the device immediately after each use.
• Do not use water or other liquids for cleaning.
• The device should be cleaned with a brush or blown with low-pressure
compressed air. Do not use any cleaning agents or solvents, as they
may damage plastic parts.
• Regularly clean the ventilation gaps in the engine housing to prevent
overheating of the device.
• In the event of excessive sparking on the commutator, have the
condition of the carbon brushes of the engine checked by a qualified
person.
• Always keep the device in a dry place, out of reach of children.
REPLACEMENT / REPLACEMENT OF THE WORKING FOOT
Depending on the needs and type of work performed, the appropriate
working foot should be used Fig. B3, B4, B5. The types of working feet
fitted with the device are shown in Figures B3, B4, B5
• To replace the working foot, unscrew the fixing screws fig. B2 on the
working foot fig . A4.
• Remove and replace the foot.
• Tighten the fixing screws.
The damaged working foot must be replaced immediately.
REPLACEMENT OF CARBON BRUSHES
Worn (shorter than 5 mm), burnt or cracked carbon brushes of the
motor should be replaced immediately. Both brushes are always
replaced at the same time.
The operation of replacing carbon brushes should be entrusted only
to a qualified person using original parts.
All kinds of defects should be removed by the manufacturer's authorized
service

and to initially assess vibration exposure.
The stated vibration level is representative only for the basic applications
of the device. If the device is used for other applications or with other
working tools, the vibration level may change. A higher level of vibration
will be affected by insufficient or too rare maintenance of the device. The
reasons given above may increase the exposure to vibrations during the
entire period of operation.
In order to accurately estimate the exposure to vibrations, it is
necessary to take into account the periods when the device is turned
off or when it is turned on but is not used for operation. After a
thorough estimation of all factors, the total vibration exposure may
turn out to be much lower.
In order to protect the user from the effects of vibrations, additional safety
measures should be introduced, such as: cyclical maintenance of the
device and working tools, protection of the appropriate hand temperature
and proper organization of work.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Electrically powered products should not be disposed of with household
waste, but should be disposed of in appropriate facilities. Information on
disposal will be provided by the seller of the product or the local
authorities. Waste electrical and electronic equipment contains
substances that are not indifferent to the environment. Unreplasticed
equipment poses a potential risk to the environment and human health.
