4. Inserting/replacing batteries

• Open the battery compartment on the underside of the device.
• Insert new batteries. Check that the polarity is correct (see markings
in the battery compartment).
• Close the battery compartment again.
Replace the batteries
• when the display shows the battery symbol
alongside the text "Lo" (Low).
• the display gets dimmer.
• if you switch on the device and nothing appears on
the display.

5. Setting the date/time

Before using the device for the first time, set the date and
time so that the measurements can be saved with the
correct date and time.
With the device switched off, briefly press the S button.
The current time is displayed. Press the S button again
and hold for 3 seconds. The year starts to flash (Figure 1).
By pressing the M key, the value increas-
es by 1. Once the correct value has been
set, confirm the settings by pressing the
S key.
Repeat these steps to enter the month
and day (Figure 2) and the hours and min-
utes (Figure 3).

Once you have completed the basic settings, "dONE"
appears on the display (Figure 4). The settings that you
made now appear again on the display. The device then
switches off automatically.
With the device switched off, if you briefly press the S
button, the time appears on the display.

6. Bluetooth data transfer

The device has a Bluetooth interface which enables you to transmit the
measurements to your smartphone.
If you wish to use this function, please download the "visomat
Blood Pressure Diary" app from the App Store or Google Play.
After installation, open the visomat Blood Pressure Diary app and register
as a user. To do this, follow the instructions in the app.
To pair the device, please follow the instructions in the app. Pairing can
only be performed after a measurement has been taken and while the
Bluetooth symbol is flashing in the display.
If you do not wish to use the data transmission and evaluation function,
you can also use the device without a smartphone.

7. Attaching the cuff

Before applying the cuff, please check that the circumference of your upper
arm is within the range specified on the cuff. An incorrect cuff size could
result in inaccurate readings.
