Check the compatibility of the used blade
NOTES
Use of used blades is not recommended.
However, in the case of necessity, check that the blade is intact and shows no signs of
wear.
Check the compatibility of the NEW blade
NOTES
The characteristics of the blade must be compatible with the technical specifi cations
indicated in the relative appendix.
a. Slacken the handle (29) and slide the blade guide up to the travel stop in the direction
shown in the fi gure.
b. Remove the safety guard (31) by unscrewing the relative fi xing screws.
DANGER - WARNING
WHEN THE SAFETY GUARD IS OPENED, THE BLADE MAY JUMP OUT.
a. Turn the handwheel (2) anticlockwise (2) to facilitate removal of the blade.
b. First extract the blade from the pulleys and then from the blade guide bearings.
c. Remove any work process debris using a small brush.
d. Install the new blade.
e. Make sure, by means of a visual inspection, that the blade is installed with the teeth pointing
in the direction indicted by the arrow marked on the machine.
f. Replace the safety guard (31) by tightening the relative fi xing screws.
g. Turn the handwheel (2) clockwise up to the travel stop.
h. Run in the blade.
DANGER - WARNING
TO GET OPTIMUM PERFORMANCE FROM YOUR BLADE, CARRY OUT THE
RUNNING-IN PROCEDURE.
a. Carry out three cuts, putting only a light pressure on the workpiece.
NOTES
Light pressure: as an example consider an operation to cut a full steel bar (e.g. C40, D.
50 mm). This should be carried out in about 4 minutes at minimum speed. Once the blade
has been run in, the same kind of workpiece can easily be carried out in approximately
2 minutes.
5.2.
