5. RJ45 Port: connects a personal computer (PC) for updating the internal software.
6. Test Lead Port: connects the battery clamp test lead.
7. Infrared Lights: outputs signals to the printer for printing test results.
8. Red and Black Jacks: connects an optional amp probe for using the multimeter
function. Use only the amp probes described in this manual; do not use
these jacks for other any other leads.

Other description

9. Terminal Adapters (optional): The two terminal adapters are for testing side-
post batteries that are not installed in vehicles. Each adapter has a threaded end
that screws into the battery.
14. Amp Probes (optional): The amp probes are available for use with the tester's
multimeter function.
15. Infrared Printer (optional): To print the test results. For information refer to
printer manual.

Connections

Connect the connector (10) of the test lead with battery clamps (11) to the test
lead port (6) of the battery tester and then connects the Black clamp (12) to the
battery's negative terminal and the Red clamp (13) to the battery's positive
terminal.
