Do not touch the high voltage wire when the engine is running.
•
Handle portable lights carefully and only use them if their metal guards are in
place.
•
Wear safety glasses to protect your eyes from petrol, dust or metal chips.
•
Don't forget that the catalytic converter reaches very high temperatures that can
cause serious burns or start fires. Make sure that there are no oil stains, rags,
paper or other easily inflammable material near the catalytic converter.

When working on batteries remember that:

Car batteries contain sulphuric acid and generate explosive gas. Therefore, always
observe the following precautions.
•
Always wear safety glasses.
•
Do not place tools on the battery. They could cause accidental contacts.
•
Before testing or recharging a battery, cover the openings with a wet cloth to
suffocate any explosive gas.
•
Avoid making sparks when attaching the cables to the battery.
•
Do not splash the electrolyte on your skin, in your eyes or on your clothes as it is
extremely corrosive and highly toxic.

FOR A CORRECT USE OF THE BATTERY TESTER

To use the Battery tester correctly, follow the instructions below:
•
The Battery tester has to be installed in dry and well-aired places so as to favour
its cooling; do not put neither use it close to heat sources.
•
Do not bump the instrument.
•
Do not wet the Battery tester with water or other liquids.
•
Do not remove the test leads while a test is running.
ATTENTION:
To prevent damage to the vehicle computer when disconnecting
battery cables:
Turn the ignition and all accessories and loads off. Close the
vehicle doors and trunk lid.
Remove the negative battery cable first, then remove the
positive cable.
