7. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Disconnect the appliance from the mains before you clean or maintain it.
1. Never use any alcohol-containing detergents to clean matt black painted
appliances as these detergents cause changes in colour.
2. Clean or replace the grease filters regularly. Fat-saturated filters will easily catch
fire and cause unpleasant odours.
3. Contaminated grease filters increase the capacity of the appliance.
4. Clean the surfaces with warm water and a mild, non-acrid detergent.
5. When you clean or replace the grease filters or the carbon filters also clean all
visible components on the bottom of the appliance with a mild, non- acrid and fat-
dissolving detergent.
6. The motor and electric components of the appliance must not come in contact
with water.
7. Do not clean the control panel with a wet cloth. Use a damp cloth; otherwise water
will get into the panel and damage the electric components.
8. Do not use a steam cleaner.
9. Do not use any abrasive detergents.
