5. GENERAL INFORMATION ON YOUR
NYTRO BICYCLE
The Pinarello Nytro bicycle is a Pedelec (Pedal Electric Cycle) or EPAC (Electrically Power
Assisted Cycle), which is a bicycle equipped with a motor that provides assistance as long as the
cyclist is pedalling. The moment the rider stops pedalling, the motor stops delivering torque.
The motor provides support for pedalling until you reach the local speed limits: up to 25 km/hr,
20 mp/hr or 28 mp/hr (for countries including the USA). Once this speed is reached, the motor
automatically stops delivering torque. The motor is equipped with a torque sensor designed to
provide motor driving force proportional to the speed and force of the human foot pedal: the
harder you push on the pedals (more force), the greater the driving force of the motor.
The rider manages the pedal assistance from the display or the remote control, if equipped. The
sections below provide basic information and instructions on operating the pedal assist system.

USER INTERFACE
TURNING ON/OFF
Your Pinarello Nytro cycle is equipped with a TQ HPR50 system with integrated battery stored
inside the frame. To turn on the system, briefly press the middle button on the display located on
the top tube near the head tube.
To turn the system off, press the power button again for a long time (>3 seconds).
LEVELS OF ASSISTANCE
The TQ HPR50 system offers three power-assist levels The indicator at the top of the display
shows the status and assistance level. These are listed below in increasing level of assistance:

At the moment the system is turned on it will always be set to OFF (no previous indicators),
regardless of the servo mode last selected before turning it off.
To change the power-assist level, press the buttons on the display. The levels will increase from
level 1 to 3; continue to press the button to decrease the level from 3 to 1. Continue do decrease
the power-assist level to switch it off completely.
Familiarise yourself with the power-assist levels gradually and in a familiar and
safe area. Start with Level 1 and move to the next levels only when you are
familiar with the motor thrust.
In case of faulty operation or error messages, refer to the motor manufacturer's
manual or consult your trusted Pinarello dealer. Attempting to interfere with
the components of the pedal assist system could cause personal injuries and
irreparable damages to the system which will not be covered by the warranty.

CONNECTION OPTIONS
You can connect your bike to your smartphone using TQ E-Bike App, which can be downloaded
from the Appstore for IOS or the Google Play Store for Android.
Follow the procedure in the Display Manual Appendix A – HPR50 Display & Remote (page 14).
The App permits to customise the assistance levels of the motor.
