14. COAX mODe (COAXIAL CAbLe)

COAX mode: Test coaxial cables.
Review the following display overview for coaxial cable test mode before beginning testing:

a) Connection – Remote test port
It may be necessary to use the F/BNC adaptor (24) for connection.
1. Connect one cable end of the coaxial cable using the F connector f (2) on the cable tester.
2. Connect the other end of the coaxial cable using the F connector f (13) on the remote test port.
b) Conducting a test
1. Turn on the cable tester and push the COAX button. Or select "3. COAX MODE" using the
navigation buttons and confirm with the TesT button.
2. Push the COAX or TesT button to begin testing. The test result can be read on the display. See
Ill. 3.
- By negative reading "FAIL": the conductors in question blink on the display.
