Memory Configurations
The system board comes with two 168-pin DIMM sockets that allow you to expand memory to a
maximum of 256 MB. The DIMM sockets support SDRAMs (Synchronous Direct Random Access
Memory) and EDO (Extended Data Out) DRAMs with 8-, 16-, 32-, 64-, and 128-MB capacities, and
with ECC feature.
The table lists possible memory configurations.

Installing a DIMM

The DIMM socket is slotted to ensure proper installation. If you insert a DIMM but it does
i
not fit easily into the socket, you may have inserted it incorrectly. Turn the DIMM around
and try to insert it again.

Reconfiguring the System

The system automatically detects the amount of memory installed. Run Setup to view the new
value for total system memory and make a note of it.

Open the clips on the socket.
Align the DIMM with the socket.
Press the DIMM into the socket until the clips
lock into the DIMM.
